Germany, Cologne, 15.10.2019 - the youth opens the ceremony. From 15-18 October 2019, UNICEF and the City of Cologne are hosting the first international Child Friendly Cities Summit in Cologne, Germany.Ê At the launch of the event on 15th of October, participants stressed the need for stronger child participation to create cities and communities that are fit for children and young people. More than 550 mayors, local leaders, technical experts, children and young people from over 60 countries worldwide are joining hands to discuss how to make their cities and communities a better place for children and young people.
