Derechos niñas Cash transfers play an important role in meeting critical immediate needs and enabling households to avoid making harsh choices when faced with shocks and crises - similar to the one that millions of Afghan families are currently experiencing. UNICEF is expanding the use of humanitarian cash transfers to facilitate a more rapid and dignified response to help vulnerable families struggling to meet their daily needs and overcome the multiple crises they are facing, including the harsh winters. In 2022, UNICEF aims to reach 160,000 households with UNICEF-funded humanitarian cash transfers.
